Research concerning the fluid flow and heat transfer for gaseous flows in a microchannel: The laboratory has investigated the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics for gaseous flow in a microchannel, with various thermal boundary conditions, in order to apply this technology for the cooling of electronic devices, micro reactors, and micro heat exchangers. Research has taken place concerning oxygen separation/enrichment via the use of magnetizing force: Since oxygen-rich air has industrially important uses, the laboratory has investigated the potential of achieving separation between oxygen and nitrogen under a strong magnetic field gradient.
